Almaguin Pet Rescue

Who We are

A small group of volunteers who assist abandoned, neglected and homeless animals in the Almaguin Highlands area. We are a not-for profit, registered charity that provides any necessary medical treatment (spay/neuter and vaccinations) before finding forever families for animals in need.

We are always in need of supplies for the rescue animals that come into our care. You can view our Amazon Wishlist by clicking below and supplies will be shipped directly to our rescue

Cats Available for Adoption

Meet Amanda!

12 week old Amanda is looking for her very own forever home! This pretty girl came into the rescue completely feral.
Her foster family has been spending lots of time with her and you would never guess she was born outside. Although still somewhat shy, she will hang out with you when she feels comfortable, snuggle on the couch and even sleep on the bed! She is getting better at being picked up and receiving attention. She absolutely loves to play, run and climb! There are lots of times where she gets spooked and runs out of sight but being so young, we are confident she will continue to come out of her shell and be a great companion for someone!

Amanda loves the other cats in the foster home. She is using the litter box. She had her vet check, dewormer and 1st set of vaccines. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery with our vet when she turns six months of age.
